Turkey Day and Giving Thanks Recap!

Soooo it is the 28th of November so I am a little late with this blog post but it is Never too late to give thanks! I am thankful for all the many blessings God has blessed me with! From the obvious ones to the ones I don't even know about! I know that everything works Together for Good to Them that love God and are  called according to his purpose. So I will continue to praise and thank Him for where I am in life and where He is taking me : )

Being the HUGE foodie that I am, I decided to Take pictures of the Thanksgiving day festivities and all the food I cooked for my family. We had a GREAT Time and It will be a thanksgiving to be remembered.

And yes... I made ALL this food :)

Birchbox Time! November 2012 :)

So My November Birchbox is here! I am always looking forward to my monthly "Christmas." This month was all about giving so I received a little Give box to put something in there for someone else. I believe that the more our hands give, the more open our hands are to receive blessings and much more so awesome Job on the theme for this month!

My Thoughts on this box? The Stila luminizer and Kiehl's body cream were my prefered parts of this box. I also like getting perfume samples (This one was OK but not my favourite scent) because I find them convenient to throw into my clutches and travel bags when I am on the go. As for the Masqueology Items, I viewed them as more of a one time "pampering" experience as opposed to a "sampling" one. The size of the cleanser and the moisturizer was way too small to actually form an opinon on the products. I enjoyed the eye gel but I can't tell if It would really make a difference in my skin enough for me to purchase. I have tried a Facial mask by that brand via birchbox and I enjoyed it... Just not sure if these products will work for me in the longterm.
Overall I would say this is a good box. I understand that liking and not liking certain Items is part of the whole Monthly sample box experience!

My First JustFab Purchase! and Simple OOTD

So here we go with my very first JustFab purchase! To be completely honest, I am not one for the clothing and shoe monthly subscriptions especially since I feel like I will be spending WAY too much money on such things! I never actually thought I would be subscribing to any one of these sites but I saw an Ad on pandora saying that you could get your first pair for under $20.00. That seemed like a great deal to me because I was in DESPERATE need of black boots I could wear to work (my other ones went bad.) I also didn't want to pay anything over 25-30 dollars so I figured I would be able to snag good quality at a cheap price. I went on the site and I saw these Kornelia boots and they looked perfect! I got them in a size 9 which is a 1/2 size bigger than my regular size. I like my boots to be comfortable and have enough "sock and jean" room. They took 9 days to be delivered and they fit perfectly! I just thought I'd share and pass on the news about this great deal. Weather or not I stay subscribed is something else. I have not seen anything on the website which   is worth $40.00 to me yet so I skipped this month and unless something changes I will probably skip the next or unsubscribe. Just being honest! Then, I will show you my simple outfit of the day paired with the boots :)

Hair Length Check! 9 Months Natural :)

Random  length check time!! I really was not going to do one of these until my one year post big chop date but I blew out and semi straightened my hair to do a proper trim and to remove the split ends with my Splitender (straight hair required.) 

Here, my hair has been blow dried on cool air at the lowest setting of my blow dryer to prevent any damage to my hair. 

Just a reminder... 2 months after my big chop my hair looked like this...

And then I straightened my hair with ONE pass only with my curling Iron at 300 degrees (still in the green.) I used a heat defense conditioner after a 2 hour saturday morning deep condition, tresemme's heat protectant AND the One and Only Argan oil heat protectant. I was not straightening my hair to wear it out... so I did not mind how heavy my hair became. My #1 priority is health!
